We established the inspection firm in 2001. Between Scott and Gunnar, we have completed over 12,000 inspections, mostly residential; however, commercial buildings are also within our scope and experience. Ultimately our goal is to provide high quality inspections that meet or exceed the standards defined by CREIA (California Real Estate Inspection Association).
Philosophy:
What goes around comes around? (Hence the circle)
Communication
An inspection fo this type is essentially a negative process. We are only looking for problems and do not necessarily comment on the positive aspects of a property. As a result, reports can be alarming, even when a condition can be easily remedied. While we do strive to clearly report on the condtions and recommended actions, you may have additional questions. If we cannot answer them, we can usually give you direction as to who likely can.
Personal Attention to Each Client and Property
Each client receives one-on-one attention through the entire process from the inspector, with explanations about the conditions found and information if any additional inspections are needed.
Client Participation
To ensure our client’s needs are satisfied we invite our clients and their agent to be present for the inspection and ask questions during the inspection process. After we are inspecting your home.
Who?
Sott Wright has been with us since 2010. Scott worked in construction since he was a kid and brings with him a tremendous amount of construction knowledge, insight and attention to detail.
Who Else?
Katie Curran is in the office and when you call, is the first person with whom you will speak. Katie will be able to handle all of your pre-inspection questions as well as provide you with an appointment.
Who Else Else?
Gunnar Alquist has an inspector, since dirt was new. Entering the construction trades in 1979, inspecting since 1997 and having completed somewhere in the neighborhood of 8000 inspections in the North Bay, Gunnar has the experience to help provide you the information you need.
Education
Education and participation is key to a quality home inspection. Gunnar is involved in the statewide CREIA organization and participate in creating educational content for home inspectors throughout the state. CREIA requires a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education to maintain a membership, more than any other home inspection organization. This involvement is one of the primary reasons that I continue my membership.
